TangoFest: Monday - Day Pass

Expect exciting music, films and talks, with a focus on French-Argentine singer-songwriter and composer Carlos Gardel

As the festival’s finale: dance from different angles! Tango Abrazo hosts a milonga, preceded by a talk on gender roles in tango and a screening of Tango Bar – featuring the scene where Gardel himself dances. Folkemusikklubben Columbi Egg joins us, bringing together a supergroup of Norwegian tango musicians.

17:00. Genre in Motion: On and Off the Dance Floor, talk by Christine Jacobsen (SKOK)
18:00. Tango Bar (1935), film
19:00-23:00. Milonga, hosted by Tango Abrazo
20:00-22:00. Tango Songs from Buenos Aires, concert presented by Folkemusikklubben Columbi Egg with Åsbjørg Ryeng (bandoneon), Håkon Magnar Skogstad (piano), Mari Halvorsen (violin), Jon Åsnes (double bass), and Daniel Norum (vocals). NOTE: Separate ticket required.

Festival pass and day pass includes Columbi Egg member's discount (ticket price of 190 NOK) to the concert: Folkemusikkklubben Columbi Egg Concert: CANTANGO (Åsbjørg Ryeng, Håkon Magnar Skogstad, Mari Halvorsen, Jon Åsnes, and Daniel Norum).

Festival pass and day passes for Tangofest grants access to all events during the festival (The Columbi Egg concert on Monday is not included, but can be purchased at a discounted price with a festival pass or day pass).
