The day begins with a medieval walk through Bergen led by Alf Tore Hommedal, from Håkonshallen to Litteraturhuset, tracing the city’s European connections in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.

The walk leads directly into the afternoon programme at Litteraturhuset, where a series of talks explore urban and monastic life, religious culture, art, and language in medieval Europe.

Alongside the talks, Ensemble Currentes leads an open medieval music workshop, culminating in a concert at 18:00.

An event by CANTA, in collaboration with Litteraturhuset i Bergen, Ensemble Currentes, the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, the Grieg Academy - Department of Music, the Department of Foreign Languages (UiB), the University Museum of Bergen, Dante Alighieri Comitato di Bergen, and Foreningen Antikk Musikk.
