Diwali - Hindu Festival of Light

Diwali is the Hindu festival of light. It is a celebration of the triumph of good over evil and is celebrated in India and other countries where the Indian/Hindu diaspora live, like South Africa.
As part of the Diwali celebration, Maxine Elma Padayachee will read the book Rama and Sita; The Diwali Story by Malachi Doyle which reveals the story behind the celebration!
We will light some tealight candles to symbolise the triumph of good over evil and perhaps there will be some yummy cookies for the little ones!
The event will be in English and Norwegian.
